What is the Editorial section about?
Editorial is where we go long-form. Less FAQ, more field notes — the shifts in Tulum's culture, the design choices that define a villa, the rhythm of a week on Soliman Bay. These are pieces you read with coffee, not on a phone in line. Written for travelers who want to understand a destination, not just visit it.
How often is new editorial published?
We publish editorial on a slow cadence — usually two to four pieces per quarter. The goal isn't volume; it's the right piece at the right time. If you want to be notified, join our concierge list and we'll send the longer reads directly.
Who writes for the Editorial section?
Our editorial is written in-house by the Private Villas Mexico team, with occasional contributions from chefs, designers, and travelers we work with directly. Every piece is informed by time on the ground — no generic copy, no AI-generated summaries, no pieces about destinations we haven't actually spent time in.
Can I suggest an editorial topic?
Yes. If there's a question about Tulum, Mexico travel, or villa living that deserves a proper answer, we'd rather write that than another listicle. Write in through the concierge with the topic and what you're curious about. If it's a fit, we'll work on it.
Do the editorial pieces cover destinations beyond Tulum?
Yes, though Tulum is the center of gravity — it's where most of our portfolio sits. We also cover Los Cabos, Punta Mita, and the Riviera Maya when we have something specific to say, not just to round out a map.
