Frequently asked questions about Family Travel

Which villas are best for families?

Villa Blanca (Tankah Bay, sleeps 26), Dulce Vida (Akumal, sleeps 16), Casa Xixim (Soliman Bay, sleeps 18), and Hacienda Caracol (Soliman Bay, sleeps 26) all work well for multi-generational trips. Each has flexible bedroom configurations, safe swimming areas, and space for kids to disappear.

Can you provide cribs, high chairs, and baby gear?

Yes. Cribs, high chairs, strollers, baby monitors, bottle warmers, and beach toys are all arranged through the concierge in advance. No extra charge for standard gear. Specialty items (like specific brand preferences) may have a rental fee.

Are the beaches safe for young kids?

Soliman Bay and Akumal are particularly good — protected coves, shallow entries, less wave action than the main Tulum beach. Akumal also has reef snorkeling right from shore. Beaches further south toward Sian Ka'an are wilder and not recommended for small children.

Can you arrange kids' activities and babysitting?

Yes. We work with vetted local babysitters and nannies, usually hourly or daily. We can also arrange kids' cooking classes, Mayan cultural activities, beach Olympics, and private cenote tours. Share ages and interests and we'll build a plan.

Is there a specific villa that sleeps three generations comfortably?

Villa Blanca is built for this. Ten bedrooms across two connected structures — grandparents in the quieter wing, parents in the main house, kids split between them. The beach is shallow enough for toddlers and the house is big enough that no one is in anyone's way.
